At the feet of Gomteshwara - Sravanabelagola, Karanataka

On the top of Vindhyagiri, standing handsomely at 58 ft, the statue of Jain Saint Gomteswara is the tallest monolith of India. This magnificent piece of art was carved out of a giant rock in 981 AD.
